FAQ

What are the benefits of using a drone in aerial videography?

Save money:

We’re assuming you don’t have the same sized budget as Spielberg, Lucas or Tarantino. You don’t need that kind of money to get high-quality production value. Our packages are priced affordably—trust us, you’ll get a lot of bang for your buck.

Less time:

Our shoots are surprisingly short in comparison to a traditional onsite production. You’ll hardly even notice we’re there.

GREATER FLEXIBILITY:

We promise you’ll see things you’ve never seen before. Our drones go where no man can, and the result is absolutely stunning.

FEWER CREW:

You’ll get one mastermind, and of course, a drone. But don’t worry, it won’t speak unless spoken to.

What type of shots are you able to capture?

Using fancy drone technology, we are capable of almost any free space movement, capturing shots like: helicopter style , dolly shots, jib/crane, spin-o-rama, 360-panoramic. Basically anything but selfies.*

*The drone refuses to do these based on principle.

What happens if it rains or snows?

Our drones are very athletic, and while they are able to fly in most weather, we don’t fly in heavy rain, snow, or winds over 25 km/h to ensure we capture the highest quality footage. In the event of poor weather conditions, HUVER will reschedule your shoot at no extra charge.

How high and far do your drones fly?

Our drones are capable of flying up to 100 metres* high without fear of heights. For the majority of our shoots, we stay within a 1 kilometre range. That’s the sweet spot for capturing the best visuals.

* Those daredevils always want to go higher, but after 100 metres we start getting calls from CSIS.

How do you know what the footage will look like?

We sit behind the camera! HUVER uses a wireless downlink system and portable screen so we can see what our cameras are filming in real time, from the ground. Action!

Is your video footage high-definition? What is the quality like?

All of our video is shot in high-definition, just like the pros. Our drone films in 4K, but we provide everything in 1080p. If you want the 4K (that’s just how you roll) -- just ask! Believe us, we aren’t overselling when we use words like stunning, striking, jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring to describe our work.

IS HUVER INSURED?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. At HUVER, we take the necessary steps to protect your business. All of our shoots include $2,000,000 liability insurance -- not that you’ll need it. We log our flights paths with Transport Canada, we don’t exceed height limits, and we have very safe pilots. Rest assured, we aren’t just a fly by night operation.
